        Catan

Catan, formerly the Settlers of Catan, was first published in 1995 and is currently in it’s 5th edition. It is a legend of the gaming movement having reached pop culture and mainstream status. It’s a game that got a lot of people into modern board games, and while it has started to fall out of favor among the hardcore gamers, it is still a wildly popular and accessible introduction to gaming.

In Catan, you’ll all be exploring an island, gathering resources to expand your reach by building roads, settlements, and cities. Players fight over the best spots to be on the board, but it’s still up to the luck of the dice as to which spots really are the best. Once one player hits 10 points, they are the winner.
